How to get paid on ebay?

i sold an item of ebay the other day and put it up for auction. also i put it up for buy now. someone bought it now and emailed me about it. on ebay it says im owed 250 and havnt recived it yet but also wont let me make a claim since the auction part of it goes on until may 11. im new to selling on ebay and the buyer tells me his money has been deduced from his account. i shipped it to him so it would make it on time( i dont know if that was a good idea now) and put the tracking number in ebay but still cant get my money. can someone help me?
