I use internet from htc evo WIFI nat type moderate how do i change this? it keeps skipping "in" game!!?

i use the WIFI hotspot from htc evo to my ps3, and when i go to the PS3network it says NAT type moderate and keeps skipping during gameplay!!! but in my internet connection settings it says NAT type 2!!! also says that one or more in my party basically has messed up internet so itll affect gameplay so how do i fix this? i hear about changing router to upnp stuff, way too confusing i am just using my phone to seend internet to the ps3!
