Changed from wireless to wired connection (Ps3) Can't find signal strength?

I wanted to get my signal strength to 100% (it used to be 40-60%), so I bought an adapter, I now have an eternet cable plugged into my ps3. But I can't see the signal strength anymore under internet settings anymore. Is there no way to see that? And I still have Nat Type 3. So I have no idea whether or not this was an improvement.
